2019 Diesel Truck Jamboree Rules

Classes

Three (3) classes with no restriction on registration limit: Pure Street Diesel, Workstock Diesel, Modified Diesel, two (2) free passes per truck. Additional passes may be purchased for $5.00 per person


General Rules

  • Pull will take place on June 15, 2019.
  • No alcoholic beverages will be allowed.
  • Double hook in one class only.
  • All minors must have written consent of parent or guardian, and must be at least 17 years of age to pull.
  • All entries must be made and fees paid at judges stand for pulling classes at least one-half (1/2) hour before class is scheduled to pull.
  • Only two (2) drivers allowed per truck, and driver must remain seated while pulling and retain one (1) hand on the steering wheel at all times.
  • All classes will have a floating finish.
  • Pull will begin with tight chain.
  • Trucks are limited to a one (1) place pay-out, highest finish will be paid.
  • Clevis/hitch on truck must have a minimum 3 1/2 inch opening.
  • The first driver in each class has the option to drop to the third position.
  • At the conclusion of each individual’s pull, they shall cross the scales for an official weight. Scales will be located at the pull site. An optional weigh-in for each truck will be allowed prior to each entry in each class but will not be considered an official weight.
  • All trucks must be in neutral or park while being hooked to, or unhooked from, the sled.
  • Any part of the truck that comes off and falls to the ground, or has an excessive loss of fluid while hooked to the sled, will be an automatic disqualification.
  • Pulling positions will be determined by draw before each class starts.
  • Payout will be based on number of trucks in each class.
  • SAFETY IS VERY IMPORTANT!
  • Judges’ decisions are final. Judges have the right to stop and/or disqualify any contestant if a truck is being operated in an unsafe manner, or if cheating is suspected.
  • In case of rain, pull will be canceled and entry fee refunded if class has not started or pulled.

Specifications

8,000 lb Workstock 4×4 Diesel Trucks

  • 8,000 lb. weight limit.
  • Truck must be street legal, plated and insured
  • Driver must have valid driver’s license.
  • Single CP3 pump.
  • The turbocharger is limited to a stock, OEM/Factory make-specific charger only. Suspicious chargers will be checked. No Billet Wheels.
  • No Injectables.
  • No Hanging Ballast (Extra Ballest in Bed or Cab ONLY.
  • OEM Reese style hitch.
  • Must be OEM frame & body.
  • Suspension must have 1″ Minimum Travel , traction bars are allowed.
  • U-Joint shields & Driveshaft hoops are HIGHLY recommended.
  • Exhaust turn-up, or stack IS required.
  • Truck must be driven to the pull (No Haul-ins)
  • Truck must have OEM transmission and transfer case.
  • Must have OEM fuel tank, NO fuel cells.
  • 26″ Hitch Height with 3.5″ opening.
  • DOT Approved Street Tires.
  • 35″ Tires max.

8,000 lb Workstock 4×4 Diesel Trucks

  • 8,000 lb. weight limit.
  • Truck must be street legal plated & insured.
  • Driver must have valid driver’s license.
  • Single CP3 pump.
  • The turbocharger is limited to a stock-appearing, OEM/Factory make-specific charger only.
  • No Injectables.
  • Hanging Ballast is permitted.
  • OEM Reese style hitch.
  • Must be OEM frame and body.
  • Suspension may be blocked; no solid suspensions.
  • U-Joint shields and Driveshaft hoops are HIGHLY recommended.
  • Exhaust turn-up, or stack IS required.
  • 3/8″ cross bolts, in the exhaust, are HIGHLY recommended.
  • 26″ Hitch Height with 3.5″ opening.
  • 35″ Tires Max.
  • Must have OEM fuel tank, NO fuel cells.
  • Must have OEM transmission and transfer case.

8,000 lb Modified 4×4 Diesel Trucks

  • 8,000 lb. weight limit.
  • 26″ hitch height with an opening of 3″ x 3.5″.
  • 3/8″ cross bolts required.
  • Exhaust must exit upward.
  • U-Joint shields required where visible from side of truck.
  • Driveshaft loops required.
  • Single Turbo.
  • Limited to 35″ DOT street tires.
  • Bell housing blankets & SFI flywheels encouraged.
  • No Injectables.
  • 35″ Tires Max

Test & Tune

  • $80 per truck, includes evening pull
  • Dyno – 12:00 noon ($80 for 3 runs)
